Questions to Ask This Week

In this morning’s sermon, we’re seeking God’s input on IDENTITY. What (and who) really defines me, and why does it matter?

How can I take what we’re learning today and make it as personal as possible? Here are some questions worth wrestling with:

    • What makes my life worth living day after day?
    • If I lost all my “stuff,” what would make life still worth the living?
    • What do I worry about most? Why?
    • Where do I seek comfort when things go bad or get difficult?
    • What preoccupies me? What do I daydream about?
    • Of what am I the proudest?
    • For what do I want to be known?
    • Where do I steer conversations?
    • What do I really want and expect out of life?
    • In the things that matter most, what does success really look like?
    • What sort of spiritual progress have I made in the last year?
    • What sort of progress do I want to make in the next year?
    • What are my biggest hopes for the future?
    • Do my hopes for the future harmonize with God’s will for me?

May we find peace, contentment, comfort, worth, identity, resolve, hope, and joy in God this week. He is worth listening to and obeying.

You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11)
