Today’s Bible reading is Psalm 101. It contains several “I will” determinations of David. Consider just four of them–powerful resolutions worthy of thinking about and adopting as your own today:
- “I will ponder the way that is blameless” (101:2): there is a way which is “right.” I will think before I act, speak, or react in order to walk this right pathway today.
- “I will walk with integrity of heart” (101:2): I will not give in to temptations toward hypocrisy, dishonesty, or double-mindedness. Today, I will seek the LORD in the path which is right with my whole heart.
- “I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless” (101:3): in a world full of vanities and distractions, I will not allow anything to take my eyes off of the Giver of life, joy, peace, and hope. I am setting my mind on things above–on things which are truly worthwhile.
- “I will know nothing of evil” (101:4): I will walk in the light today, as my God is in the light that I might be holy today, as my God is holy.
Adopt these four “I will” resolutions from Psalm 101 and today will be a good day.
