Zimbabwe Preachers
03.10.26 – a note from Robert Chinyenze reporting on the distribution of 101 Bibles and 107 songbooks for our brothers and sisters in Zimbabwe, in their native language.
On behalf of the congregations here, I would like to sincerely thank you for making it possible for us to have access to the Word of God through the distribution of Bibles and song books. Your support is greatly appreciated and is making a meaningful difference in strengthening the faith of the brethren. As soon as I receive the pictures from the brethren in the other congregation, I will promptly forward them to you. Thank you once again for your continued support and understanding.
Please pass along my sincere thanks to Brother Roger for the many years of faithful service he has given to the Lord and to the congregation. His dedication to preaching and teaching the Word has surely strengthened and encouraged many believers, and I am certain that many souls have been reached through his efforts. I pray that the Lord will richly bless him in this new season of life. May he enjoy good health, peace, and continued opportunities to serve and encourage others, even if it is in a different way than before. He will certainly be missed, but his influence and the work he has done will continue to bear fruit. Please let him know that he is appreciated and remembered with gratitude. I wish him all the very best as he moves forward, and I hope he will have many opportunities to visit and stay connected with the saints, he should retire after a Zim trip.

02.10.26 – a note from Robert Chinyenze confirming the purchase of 101 Bibles and 107 songbooks for our brothers and sisters in Zimbabwe, in their native language.
Thank you so much. The funds have been received, and I have begun purchasing the Bibles and songbooks. Attached are the receipts for the items purchased so far. Photos of the distribution will be shared shortly. I expect to pick up the Bibles on Friday, and I will collect the songbooks next Wednesday. Thank you sincerely for your love and support toward the saints here. We trust that this will greatly enhance our teaching and spiritual growth. Kindly extend my heartfelt gratitude to the eldership and all the saints for continually keeping us in their prayers. With deep appreciation, Robert

01.05.26 – Robert Chinyenze update:
2025 report summary “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain…”_ — 1 Corinthians 15:10a As I look back on the year 2025, I’m humbled by the grace and strength the Lord has provided throughout this journey. From village to village, home to home, pulpit to pulpit, I’ve witnessed His hand at work through open doors, restored souls, baptisms, and powerful moments of growth within the congregations. Despite various personal and ministerial challenges — from sickness to spiritual battles — the Lord has continued to guide and sustain me. This report highlights not only the work done, but also the faith, unity, and hope that kept us going in the vineyard of the Lord. Work done By the grace of God, 2025 has been a busy and fruitful year in the Lord’s service. Apart from the five congregations I regularly work with, I had the opportunity to visit and encourage several others. I spent time with the Zarawa brethren for fellowship and also visited chishingwi, a new congregation where seven souls obeyed the gospel. We held a camp meeting at 22 Miles with the men, and also visited saints in their homes, offering encouragement and spiritual support. A trip to matabeleland North, where I truly witnessed the finger of God at work.Visited Watsomba DC and had fellowship with the Zinyembe, Sarupwanya, and DC congregations. We hosted a youth lectureship at Gutaurare, joined other preachers in Rusape* for a door-to-door evangelism, where had the privilege of sharing the pulpit with other preachers.Another special moment was giving a short sermon and opening prayer at the graduation ceremony for the Guardian Angel students. Throughout all these visits, many life-changing sermons and Bible classes were delivered, and I thank God for every opportunity to serve and build up the body of Christ. We did not forget the elderly saints who are no longer able to attend worship due to health challenges. We also reached out to backsliders and those who had stopped coming because of offense or discouragement caused by fellow Christians. Through home visits, both in Christian homes and around our regular meeting places, we offered comfort to those who lost loved ones, encouraged the weak, and reminded many of God’s enduring love and grace. These visits played a key role in restoring relationships and rekindling faith among some who had grown cold.As doors were knocked, campings were held, and every opportunity that arose was made use of, the Lord stood by our side. I’ve witnessed over 40 baptisms in 2025, a clear sign of God’s hand at work. We’ve seen a strong turnout from villagers, especially when invited to join us in worship. It’s encouraging to see hearts opening and the church gaining a visible presence in these communities. All glory to God.The hand of the Lord was with us everywhere we went with the gospel. Many people saw the truth — some believed and were baptized, while others asked for more time to reflect. A few hesitated due to family ties or their leadership roles in denominations. As we look forward to 2026, I humbly ask for your continued prayers for more open doors, boldness, and wisdom as we take the gospel further. May more hearts be softened and lives be transformed for His glory. Plans for 2026 Over the past 2–3 years, we’ve been blessed to plant several congregations. However, some signs of decline are beginning to show, and it is my prayer and desire that in the coming year, I will make time to revisit these congregations with the purpose of encouraging and reviving them. The goal is to strengthen the brethren and remind them to remain steadfast in the Lord.We are also planning camping meetings, which will serve as a platform for teaching, fellowship, and spiritual growth. Men’s classes will continue as well, focusing on building leadership and responsibility in the Lord’s work.Another burden on my heart is to engage more with the women in the congregations. I believe the spirit of Dorcas (Acts 9:36) must be revived in our sisters , a spirit of service, compassion, and contribution to the growth of the church. Lord willing, I hope to organize women’s classes to build that mindset and create active, supportive roles for them in the church. Let us continue to pray for open doors, strength, and unity in the work ahead. Challenges faced. This year, we did not encounter many new challenges apart from the usual ones preachers often face in the field. However, a few key areas remain a concern: Backsliding- continues to be an issue among some brethren. I’ve been working to follow up and encourage those drifting away, but it remains a spiritual battle that needs ongoing attention and prayer. Poor attendance- at services has also been a challenge. Some absences are due to genuine reasons, while others are not. I always encourage the brethren to remain faithful in assembling, but it is an area that still needs strengthening.
Congregational growth-is encouraging, but it has brought with it a greater need for Bibles and song books, which many still do not have. Hunger- is a real challenge at this time of the year. Many of the brethren are working hard in the fields, but due to limited resources, they lack enough food to sustain their energy and health as they labor. A serious challenge was water for baptism- rivers dried so quickly because we didn’t have good rains the past season we had to drive long distances to fulfill this vital part of our faith. These are the realities we continue to face, and I mention them so that we may all continue to pray, support, and seek ways to strengthen the body of Christ together. Family This year, satan never left my family in peace, it felt like he was constantly knocking at my door. It was sickness after sickness and it truly pulled my spirit down. At times, it wasn’t easy at all, especially in the area of health, as I found myself knocking on hospital doors more than I expected. But your prayers, support, and encouraging words kept me going. If you have the opportunity, kindly remember me in your prayers, that in the coming year I may be able to serve in the vineyard full-time, without disturbances of this nature. I take comfort in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9. Conclusion Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.1 Corinthians 15:58 The work continues, and though the road has not been easy, I rejoice in every soul reached, every seed planted, and every saint encouraged. I thank all who have stood with me in prayer, support, and love. May 2026 be another year of fruitfulness, deeper unity, and greater dedication to the mission Christ has entrusted to us. To God be the glory always.

10.27.25 – Robert Chinyenze update:
Camping report: Thank you so much for your prayers. The camping went on very well, and we truly felt the Lord’s presence with us. With the help of the local village heads, who played a vital role in mobilizing the community, we were blessed with a large crowd that came to worship and hear the Word of God. Although we didn’t witness any baptisms during the meeting, we are greatly encouraged by the many invitations we received from villagers to visit and teach in their homes. This has opened doors for continued evangelism and follow-up work in the area. We also had quality time with the men of the local congregation, teaching and encouraging them. We spent time with the church as a whole, and visited several saints in their homes, strengthening their faith and praying with them. Our wives did a wonderful job preparing meals and supporting us throughout the camp, making it possible for us to focus on the spiritual work. We thank you once again for standing with us in prayer and encouragement. May the Lord bless you abundantly as we continue together in His service.

Brethren
July report summary– Evangelism & Ministry Activities*
1 Peter 1:17 Since you call on a Father who judges each man’s work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear.
18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.
21 Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.
The work went on as below:
4–5 July – Men’s Classes at Matika
We conducted men’s classes at Matika with attendance from several congregations in the area. The sessions focused on spiritual leadership, encouraging and challenging the brethren to rise and serve as strong, godly leaders in their homes and congregations. The discussions were lively and uplifting, with men sharing their struggles and seeking guidance in leadership roles.
8 July – Evangelism at Chitora
We held teaching sessions at Chitora with a small group that local brethren had gathered. Lessons covered important foundational topics such as food, church and baptism, then responded to questions about Sabbath observance. The Lord blessed our efforts—two souls obeyed the gospel and were baptized the same day without delay. We concluded with a visit to brother Dengu, who was unwell, and prayed with him for healing and strength.
15 July – Hospital Visit, We had planned to visit Chipendeke 2, but changed course after receiving the sad news that the *Muchireya family* had lost their twin babies at birth. We visited them in hospital to offer comfort, prayer, and encouragement during their time of grief.
16 July – Visit to Chipendeke 1 / Bhiridhasi
We spent the day visiting the homes of brethren, encouraging them in the faith. The day ended with an afternoon service shared with the local congregation.
17 July – Evangelism at 22 Miles
We visited the brethren at 22 Miles and held an afternoon service. Once again, we rejoiced as two more souls were baptized into Christ.
18 July – Gutaurare & Masibango
Young preachers carried out house visits at Gutaurare, spending time in fellowship and spiritual discussions with families, followed by an afternoon service. Meanwhile, other preachers attended the burial of a faithful sister at Masibango, offering comfort and honoring her faithful walk.
25 July – 22 Miles Visit
We returned to 22 Miles to visit brethren who were unwell, offering prayer and support. We also held another service, and two more individuals obeyed the gospel in baptism—praise be to God.
28 July – Chitora Home Visits We conducted home visits in Chitora, followed by an afternoon worship service to encourage and strengthen the local brethren.
29 July – Evangelism at Chipendeke 2 (Binga Area)
We made the tiring walk to the Binga area since it’s uphill, where strong members of the Chipendeke 2 congregation reside. We held a service at Brother Matsangaise’s home and were encouraged by the steadfastness of the brethren there.
30 July – Chipendeke 1 / Bhiridhasi (Village 4)
We spent the day reaching out to backsliders in Village 4, visiting them personally to encourage their return. The visit concluded with a heartfelt afternoon service. Sundays:
Sermons like looking in God’s mirror James 1:21-25, rebuilding the altar Ezra 3:2-3, wise master builder 1cor 3:10-15, remove the stone John 11:38-39 were preached including different lessons like what causes us to be unfaithful isa5:1-5 modern day prophets vs hbr 1:1, restoring the nt pattern 1cor 4:6. 05.22.25 – Robert Chinyenze update on his preacher training program. He had about 30 men attend.
As we continue to spread the gospel in the Mutare district we have established numerous thriving congregations and we thought of identifying potential men to help us cover the gaps in caring for the newly established work. This approach involved equipping men to preach and teach, serve as elders and deacons, so these young preachers undergo rigorous training, monitoring, and mentorship, which requires patience, dedication, and long-term commitment. We draw inspiration from the apostle Paul’s relationship with Timothy and Titus, we prioritize nurturing our young preachers with recent lectures which emphasized transparency, accountability, and effective stewardship in our partnerships and also, how they will be good soul winners and by implementing these guidelines, we can foster robust relationships and achieve greater evangelism impact.
Regular classes will deepen these young preachers’ understanding, enabling them to effectively challenge denominationalism. We appreciate your support and love for our evangelism work and pray for continued success and God is good all the times. God bless.
Key takeaways from the lectures includes:
-
- Embracing guidelines for effective challenge navigation and evangelism success
- Demonstrating commitment to responsible stewardship
- The best way of doing scriptural evangelism that doesn’t violate the New Testament truth.
Thank you for your partnership. We look forward to a continued collaboration and impact. We hope to have a monthly program if we might have resources to care for this noble initiative. God bless.
